Day Service Options Senior members are encouraged, when possible, to utilize public transportation to and from their hometown senior centers. This gives individuals the opportunity to develop independent relationships with neighbors. The Community Experience Group builds community relationships where future vocational possibilities may be explored. Opportunities are given for all Day Service Options participants to choose and enjoy those activities that might be right for them.

Seabird Enterprises, Inc. offers both a Day Service Options program
for all ages and the Opportunities for Older Adults program for those
over 55 years of age. Both programs are maintained within the community
full time. Participants are able to regularly attend “Open
Forums” where individuals contribute their thoughts and desires for
future program activities. Both groups participate in volunteer projects
such as the MADD program, community beautification projects and food
bank deliveries. Other activities include walking or hiking, crafts,
Seasonal celebrations and meals out. These groups also enjoyed Seabird
activities such as the Horse and Garden Show, holiday and Halloween
parties and other group fun.
